Friends of St. Andrew’s Restoration Golf Tournament raises $3,515

The first Friends of St. Andrew’s Restoration Golf Tournament went off without a hitch on Saturday, July 28, 2012. We are happy to report that we raised $3,515.00 from golfer registrations, silent auction, cash donations and tee sponsors.

While we were not able to meet our goal of registering 18 teams due to the busy summer season we still had 11 teams come out and contribute to a successful first tournament. We hope this is the first of more Golf Tournaments to come!

The golfers enjoyed a beautiful day, camaraderie, a tasty barbeque and a draw for over a dozen door-prizes.

We want to thank all the golfers as well as the following people and businesses for their generosity:

William Little Surveying for the donating the grand prize for the winning team – four fishing rod and reel combinations.  Congratulations to the winning team: Ben Aucoin, Mark Aucoin, Brent Ryan and Rob Little.

St. Ignace Golf Club for their donation towards the “closest to the pin” contest which was won by Jordan Sullivan.
